Cajun Chicken Strips
It is a quick and easy snack that your kids will love for sure.
I tried it when my husband told me that Cajun food is really spicy and matches our taste.
You can make these strips as a healthy snack, send to kids school for lunch and also as a side dish.
You can adjust the taste according to your own taste. I have also modified it just a little.
- Chicken Breasts Cut in Strips 500g
- Garlic Paste 1/4 tsp
- Pepper 1 tsp
- All purpose flour 2 tbsp
- Chicken Powder 1 tbsp
- Paprika Powder 1/2 tsp
- Red chilli flakes 1/2 tsp
- Mixed Dry herbs(parsley, thyme etc. ) 1 pinch
- Butter 75 g
Mix salt, pepper and garlic paste and rub over the strips. Leave these for 2 hours in fridge.
Take a plastic bag or bowl with a lid and mix all purpose flour, paprika powder, mixed herbs, red chilli flakes and chicken powder in that.
Now put chicken strips in that bag or bowl and shake well so strips are coated well with this mixture from all sides.
Put a pan on stove and melt butter in that. Fry these strips in the butter on medium heat till the crust becomes crispy and strips are cooked through.
Serve with tomato ketchup or tartar sauce.
