Chicken Jalfrezi is a very popular dish in India and Pakistan.
I just love it and make it without much gravy.
The recipe I am sharing below is tried by me many times and the result is always great.
- Boneless chicken 500g
- Capsicum 1-2
- Onion 1-2
- Tomatoes 2-3
- Garlic Paste 1 tsp
- Red Chili Powder
- Chili Sauce 2 tbsp
- Turmeric Powder ½ tsp
- Green Chiles 2-3
- Coriander powder ½ tsp
- Garam Masala
- Black Pepper
- Tomato Ketchup 2 tsp
- 1 Egg
Cut boneless chicken in small cubes and marinate in chilli sauce, salt, ketchup , red chilli powder and black pepper powder for 1 hour.
Add a pinch of salt and pepper in egg and fry it like omelet and cut it in squares.
Cut Capsicum and Onion in cubes and Sauté in 1 tbsp oil for 2 minutes with a pinch of garam masala and put aside.
Then take some oil in a pan and add chopped tomatoes, garlic paste, salt, pepper, turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chilli powder and chilli sauce and cook covered for 7 minutes or so, till tomatoes are a bit soft.
Then add marinated chicken and a few green chilies and cook till chicken is tender and oil leaves gravy.
Then add Sautéed capsicum and onion and egg and mix well. Sprinkle some more Garam Masala. Garnish with Coriander and serve with rice.
