Chicken Reshmi Masala Recipe
This is again a Shireen Anwar recipe that I cooked with a few changes. It was really tasty and my family loved it.
- 750g Chicken with bones (Karahi Cut)
- 1 tbsp ginger and garlic paste
- 1 tsp All spice powder or garam masala
- 250g yogurt
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 2 tsp red chilli flakes
- 12-15 Cashew nuts
- 2-3 tbsp Coriander leaves
- 1/4 cup Oil
- 1 tbsp Raw papaya paste
- 2 tbsp cream
- 1 onion, sliced and fried till it turns golden
Put Cashew nuts, onion and coriander leaves in a blender with yoghurt and make a smooth paste. Marinate chicken with this paste and rest of the ingredients besides oil and cream and put in refrigerator for 1/2 an hour.
Take oil in a pan, put it on a stove and put marinated chicken in it along with the marinade and cook covered on low flame for 20-30 minutes. Keep on flipping the chicken with a wooden spoon periodically.
Turn the flame to high and cook the chicken till the oil leaves the gravy. Mix cream in it and garnish with a few coriander leaves and serve.
