Hariyali Chicken (Chicken Hara Masala)
This is a very tasty dish with a slightly different taste than usual desi food that we eat.
You can serve it with Rice or with Paratha or Makhan Wali Roti.
I have also shared a recipe of Hariyali Chicken Tikka on this website, the recipe that I am sharing below is chicken with gravy.
- Chicken 500g
- Yogurt 1 cup
- Garlic paste 2 tbsp
- Ginger Paste 1 tsp
- Cream 2 tbsp
- Coriander leaves 1 cup
- Mint leaves 1/4 cup
- Green Chillies 7-8
- Cardamom pods 2-3
- Black Pepper powder 1 tsp
- Oil 1/4 cup
- Onion 1
- Coriander powder 1 tsp
- Cumin Powder 1 tsp
Take 1 cup yogurt, 1 tbsp garlic paste, 1 cup coriander leaves and 1/4 cup mint leaves 3,4 green chillies, juice of one lemon, black pepper powder and 1 tsp cream and blend well in a food processor.
Then take some oil in a pan and add cumin seeds and green cardamom and fry a little.
Then add one chopped onion and fry till it changes color, then add ginger garlic paste and fry a little.
Now take meat out from the marinade and fry it on high heat in this pan for 5-6 minutes.
After that add rest of the marinade, coriander powder, cumin powder and salt, 1-2 whole green chilies and cook covered till chicken is done and oil separates from meat and masala. You can also add some water if needed
Now add 2 tbsp of cream, adjust lemon and salt etc and turn off the heat.
