How to make a Crown out of Lace
I have not tried many crafts though I am really in to fine arts but whenever my daughter needs something for her school or some party I try to create something unique for her.
This time in her school party, they asked that every kid should be wearing something on his or her head so I thought about making this crown that I saw on internet once and everyone just loved it.
I placed it on the head of my girl and secured it with the help of bobby pins so she could walk and play freely at school.
Things you need
- Fabric stiffener spray (You can also use starch that we usually cook and use at home)
- A piece of lace, about 0.5 meter long
- Golden Spray
- Some lovely embellishment
Cut the piece of lace in the desired size. Smaller crowns look more cute. I will make it more small next time.
Fasten its edges with thread and needle.
Spray fabric stiffening starch on it and give it a round shape with your hands, put it on a microwave friendly plate and run microwave for 1 minute, or you can let it dry under the sun or under the fan but that will take more time.
Spray again, give it round shape and microwave again.
Keep on repeating this process till you feel that the crown is stiff enough to keep its shape.
Put it under the fan or sun so it gets completely dry and stiff.
Spray golden or silver color on it.
Let it get dried again.
Decorate it with beads or anything that you may like and have.
Beautiful crown for your beautiful princess is ready.
